Core Function:
The Senior Project Manager will oversee the successful execution of multiple structural steel projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams, maintain client relationships, and drive continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously using formal project planning techniques, from initial setup to final delivery.
- Establish and oversee fabrication schedules, objectives, and subcontractor coordination to ensure seamless execution.
- Provide clear and consistent updates on project progress, including production, financial, quality, and safety goals, to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor vendor performance, negotiate change orders, and manage resource and equipment needs for efficient project execution.
- Implement and oversee process enhancements to improve project outcomes, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and adherence to best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- A minimum of 10 years of general experience and 5 years of project management experience in the structural steel industry.
- Knowledge of the AISC Manual of Steel Construction and construction codes.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with FabSuite, Tekla Structures, Tekla EPM, and Trimble Connect software.
